This place should be named "Grandma's Kitchen!"
Ok first the not so good...
The interior needs a makeover. It looks really bad on the inside, but like ya grandmother's house it wasn't perfect (at least not mine).
Service..... UUGGHHHHH.... not good!!!!
Now..... The Food....
GREAT FOOD..... To some it might be a little salty but I loved it! This was absolutely SOUL FOOD!!!!! This was my first time here and it will not be my last.
I pray that the service gets better but I will still support it. -

Good Flavor, Not So Good Everything Else
So I was already skeptical about trying this place out after several reviews. However, we still gave it a shot. I agree with those saying the place needs a face lift. It had a the feel of a restaurant that was closing up, but still served food in the space. We arrived at 11:05, 5 minutes after they opened which meant everything should be stocked and piping hot! WRONG!!!! There were still slots missing pans, but hot water visible along with the rising steam. Putting all of this out my mind, I put a few things on my plate, mashed potatoes(out the box and COLD), green beans(tasty, but COLD), cabbage(delicious, but COLD AS WELL), and smothered chicken(perfect)! I could not get pass the fact that I have flavorful food on my plate, but only 1 out of 4 of them were served properly. I also heard another table complaining about other items being cold as well. Lastly, we made it through the first plate and still hadn't received a drink. All in all, the place has potential, but needs some fire under the staff to get it running how it should. Oh wait, one last thing, a customer spilled a cup and someone came out the back with 2 towels, got done on all four and began scrubbing the floor. Got mop? -

Let's see here...
The staff was funny and hilarious. The food was good, just like soul food should be. The atmosphere reminded of my hometown in south Georgia...that lazy, country feel. Now the bathroom need to be a little more cleaner than I saw (and that's all I'm going to say about that).
Now with that being said...unfortunately I was there when there was a great boom in the kitchen. So this was my queue to exit the premises. Now, the question is "will I return?" Actually, I would give this another try because of the food and the great customer service.
That boom in the kitchen, though (if I could put an emoji here, it would be a black woman with eyebrows raised and legs running..lol) -

The hubby and I stopped in while on another road trip.
This gem is nestled into a quiet plaza a bit south of Atlanta.
After we'd paid for our buffets, we went to look for a table. All the tables were taken, but a nice gentleman invited us to share his table.
We learned that his family owns Soul Delicious. Curtis and all the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The food was truly Soul Delicious!
Grab some of that fried chicken and the fish. Oh my. Yummy.
We're adding this one to our list of places we'll visit again. -

Amazing soul food for the best price in the country. The staff is so friendly and nice from the time you enter the restaurant until the time you leave. The food is so so good. They have a huge variety and everything taste so good. When in the Morrow/Atlanta area this is always my first spot.
